An example night, with your numbers
A Friday at Your room
120 people through the door at $10.00 a ticket. Every figure below comes from the same money engine that charges and settles real shows on this site. Nothing here is saved.
What a fan pays for one ticket
Texas sales tax (8.25%)
$0.83
Service fee, $1 a ticket (covers the card)
$1.00
The same ticket on Eventbrite carries about $2.51 in fees, before tax. Here it is $1.00. Texas sales tax (8.25%) is on top and the fan pays it, so your $10.00 stays $10.00.
The night, settled the moment the door closes
Ticket sales
120 × $10.00, all of it in your door
$1,200
The Door takes from you
nothing; the fan's dollar pays for it
$0
The whole door goes to the bands and Your room makes its money at the bar, with a fuller room. Your bar is never counted and never shown to anyone. The bands see their own line on their phone the same night, so nobody texts you the next morning asking what they made.
Over a month of 8 show nights
Fees your fans skip vs Eventbrite
$1,450
What your fan holds
It lives on the fan's account. It works once. The code under it can be typed if a phone screen is cracked.
What your door person sees
Admit one
Their name. Ticket valid, now spent. 21+, check the ID.
Already used
Scanned at 9:14 PM, front door. Same code, second phone. Turn them away.
Any phone is a scanner. It keeps working if the wifi drops and catches up when it comes back.
Cash cover at the door, today, versus this
Money before the night
Presales land before doors, so a slow Friday is known on Wednesday, not at 11 PM.
A count nobody can shade
Every ticket and every cash sale is a scanned code. The number the bands are paid from is the number that came in.
Cash still works
A walk-up pays cash, the door person taps once, a code is issued and burned. No fee on cash.
Guest list that counts
Comps are real codes with names, so "on the list" is a record, not a promise at the door.
Bands paid off real numbers
The split is on everyone’s phone at close. No settlement argument at 2 AM.
No contract, no monthly fee, no cut from the room. Setup is ten minutes: capacity, age policy and door times, once. Then paste the Facebook event, set the price, and it is on sale.
